RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
Approve and authorize the Director of Health or Assistant Director of Health to execute a no-extension of Amendment No. 3 (retroactive to July 1, 2017) for Alcohol and/or Drug Service Agreement A-12777 with Community Human Services for the provision of alcohol and drug recovery services for Fiscal Year (FY) 2016-17, and an increased amount of $181,589 for FY 2017-18, for a revised total Agreement amount not to exceed $7,533,053 for the term of July 1, 2015 - June 30, 2018.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Community Human Services (CHS) provides residential and non-residential alcohol and drug recovery services for Medi-Cal, Non-Medi-Cal, Drug Treatment Court and CalWORKS eligible Monterey County residents. CHS continues to provide services to Monterey County men and women age 18 or older with primary addiction to drug(s). Intravenous drug users and HIV+ clients will receive priority admission.

This Amendment No. 3 revises the FY 2017-18 drug treatment rates to reflect FY 2017-18 Drug Medi-Cal rates published by the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), increases units of service and Drug Medi-Cal funding for Program 3 Narcotic Treatment Program and reduces units of service and funding for program 6 Outpatient Drug Free for FY 2016-17.
