RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
Approve and authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer or Contracts/Purchasing Supervisor to sign an Amendment No. 2 to Agreement No. A-13438 with Access Support Network (ASN), adding $51,648, for a revised total amount not to exceed $353,464 for the revised full term of April 18, 2016 to March 31, 2019, to continue providing services to Ryan White Part B eligible clients in Monterey County.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The Monterey County Health Department continues to provide services to individuals and communities in Monterey County affected by HIV. Access Support Network serves the San Luis Obispo County and Monterey County communities, assisting individuals living with HIV and hepatitis C virus (HCV) infections. ASN offers testing and prevention education opportunities for various groups throughout the community. ASN offers needed services and connections to guard against homelessness and against lapses of medication and healthcare coverage. ASN has been providing HIV-related and HCV-related services in Monterey County since July 1, 2015 (funded through private sources, direct California Department of Public Health (CDPH) grants, and CDPH grants administered by the Health Department).

Amendment No. 1 No. A-13438 modified the payment provisions, extended the terms, and the addition of reporting requirements. All other terms and conditions remained the same.
