RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
Adopt a Resolution to authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer or Contracts/Purchasing Supervisor to execute an Agreement with Motorola Solutions, Inc., for the leasing of forty (40) radios, for the time period of November 1, 2017 through October 31, 2022, in the maximum amount of $141,200.00 for the Monterey County Adult Correction Facility.
SUMMARY
It is requested that the Board of Supervisors approve a resolution to facilitate completion of lease paperwork with Motorola Solutions for the leasing of forty (40) radios for the Monterey County Adult Correction Facility.
DISCUSSION:
Your Board approved a lease agreement between the County of Monterey and Motorola Solutions, on behalf of the Monterey County Sheriff's Office, on the November 14, 2017 meeting.
Subsequent to that action, it was discovered that the Resolution enabling the lease was not properly entered into the Legistar system, and for that reason, was not submitted for action to the Board of Supervisors. The Resolution was included in the lease documents (as Exhibit E) submitted to the Board on that date. This report and the attached Resolution, are being presented to rectify that oversight, and to obtain approval of the Resolution.
A copy of this lease agreement is on file with the Clerk to the Board.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT
This Board report and Resolution were approved by County Counsel and the Auditor -Controller.
