a. Approve and authorize the Director of Health, the Assistant Director of Health, or the Emergency Medical Services Director, to execute Emergency Medical Services and Air Ambulance Service Provider Agreement between the County of Monterey and REACH Air Medical Services, LLC. for the provision of emergency medical air ambulance services for the County of Monterey from February 1, 2018 through February 1, 2020; and
b. Authorize the Director of Health, the Assistant Director or Health, or the Emergency Medical Services Director, to sign up to three (3) amendments to this Agreement where the amendments do not significantly change the scope of work.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve and authorize the Director of Health, the Assistant Director of Health, or the Emergency Medical Services Director, to execute Emergency Medical Services and Air Ambulance Service Provider Agreement between the County of Monterey and REACH Air Medical Services, LLC. for the provision of emergency medical air ambulance services for the County of Monterey from February 1, 2018 through February 1, 2020; and

SUMMARY:
The Health Department seeks authorization to execute Emergency Medical Services and Air Ambulance Service Provider Agreement between the County of Monterey and REACH Air Medical Services, LLC. for the provision of emergency medical air ambulance services.
DISCUSSION:
Pursuant to the California Health and Safety Code, Section 1797 et seq., the County of Monterey EMS Agency (County) is responsible for emergency medical services (EMS) system coordination, medical oversight, and coordination of the delivery of EMS by provider organizations in Monterey County.
