RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve and authorize the Director of the Department of Social Services to sign an agreement with WestCoast Children's Clinic for $4,467, retroactive to January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2018, to provide two training sessions on the Commercial Sexual Exploitation Identification Tool - Intake and Hotline Version.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The Department of Social Services (DSS) is contracting with WestCoast Children's Clinic (WCC) to conduct two training sessions on the Commercial Sexual Exploitation Identification Tool- Intake Hotline Version (CSE-IT I&H). The CSE-IT I&H will support DSS in identifying commercially sexually exploited children through calls and referrals made to the child protection hotline.

This agreement was sent to the WCC in November 2017 for signatures in anticipation of having it executed by the County's Contracts/Purchasing Officer prior to the term start date. This agreement is delayed in being brought for County execution prior to the term start date because the agreement sent for signatures in November 2017 was lost in transit and had to be recirculated for new signatures.

OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
The Auditor-Controller and Purchasing has reviewed and approved this agreement. County Counsel has approved the agreement as to form.

FINANCING:
Funding for this service is provided with a combination of Federal, State and Realignment revenues. Sufficient appropriations and estimated revenues in SOCOO5 are included in the FY 2017-18 Adopted Budget. Future fiscal year costs will be included in the budget requests for the respective fiscal years.
