RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Monterey County Water Resources Agency Board of Supervisors:

Ratify the execution of Amendment No. 2 to the Professional Services Agreement with Salinas Pump Company, in the amount of $300,000 to provide well and pump maintenance, repair services and well logging services for the Castroville Seawater Intrusion Project through June 30, 2020.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
On August 24, 2015, the Board of Directors approved a three-year Professional Services Agreement (Agreement) with Salinas Pump Company in the amount of $156,000 to provide maintenance, repair and well logging services for the Castroville Seawater Intrusion Project (CSIP) supplemental wells and pumps on as-needed basis.

On December 6, 2016, the Board of Directors approved Amendment No. 1, to the Agreement with Salinas Pump Company in the amount of $150,000 to provide maintenance, repair and well logging services for the CSIP supplemental wells and pumps on as-needed basis, and extend the Agreement term to June 30, 2020.

On January 29, 2018, the Board of Directors approved Amendment No. 2, to the Agreement with Salinas Pump Company in the amount of $300,000 to provide well and pump maintenance, repair services and well logging services for CSIP through June 30, 2020.

Amendment No.2, will provide funds to complete underway repairs on CSIP supplemental well 02A02, and to complete rehabilitation and maintenance work on other CSIP supplemental wells through June 30, 2020. The Scope of Work for Amendment No.2, remains the same as described in Exhibit A of the Agreement.
