RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Parks Commission:
Receive a report of the Park’s General Fund Revenues and Expenditures by park for the period July 1, 2017 through March 31, 2018.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The Parks Commission requested the Resource Management Agency (RMA) provide a report on year-to-date revenues and expenditures for the Park’s General Fund by park (Attachment A). The report includes five (5) County Parks; Jack’s Peak, Manzanita, Royal Oaks, San Lorenzo, and Toro; as well as the Laguna Seca Rifle Range. Revenue and expenditures reported are for the period beginning July 1, 2017 and ending March 31, 2018.
Overall expenditures through the 3rd quarter of FY 2017-18 totaled $1.8 million; which includes Salary and Benefits of $1.8 million, Services and Supplies of $945 thousand, Other Expenditures of $194 thousand, and Interfund Reimbursements for Salary and Benefits for Lake staff of ($1.2) million (contra expenditure account).
Total Revenue through the 3rd quarter of FY 2017-18 totaled $580 thousand with the largest source coming in from Parks and Recreation Services. The total General Fund Contribution (GFC) need, which is the difference between revenue and expenditures, is currently $1.2 million.
