RECOMMENDATION:
a. Authorize the Deputy Purchasing Agent for Natividad Medical Center (NMC) or his designee to execute an agreement with PSM Medical Imaging Specialists, Inc. for Picture Archiving System (PACS) maintenance and quality control services for the Diagnostic Imaging Department at NMC for an amount not to exceed $349,050 with an agreement term of September 1, 2018 through August 31, 2019.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
PSM Medical Imaging Specialists, Inc. will assist Natividad Diagnostic Imaging with the management, ongoing maintenance and quality checks on the Picture Archiving Software System (PACS) in the Diagnostic Imaging department. The contractor provides daily checks for data storage, daily quality control checks for data corruption in the system and assists the Radiologist with troubleshooting problems they may encounter when dictating a report or reviewing images within the PACS system. The contractor is on call after hours and on weekends to assist with any problems with the software during these hours.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
County Counsel has reviewed and approved this agreement as to legal form, and the Auditor-Controller has reviewed and approved as to payment provisions. The agreement has also been reviewed and approved by NMC's Finance Committee on June 28, 2018 and by its Board of Trustees on July 13, 2018.
FINANCING:
The cost for this agreement is $349,050 of which $349,050 is included in the Fiscal Year 2018-19 Adopted Budget.
