Receive an update on the Flood Insurance Assessment for Monterey County.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Monterey County Water Resources Agency conducts a Flood Insurance Assessment every 3 years as part of the Community Rating System, using data obtained from FEMA’s ISO/CRS Specialist. The information is analyzed by Agency staff to learn where flood insurance policies are concentrated and to increase awareness to property owners of the importance of protecting property by obtaining flood insurance.
