RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
Approve and authorize the Contracts / Purchasing Officer or his Designee to sign Amendment No. 3 to the contract between the County of Monterey and Everbridge, Inc. for emergency telephone notification services to increase the amount of the contract in the amount of $88,850, from $424,968 to $513,818, to upgrade services, and to extend services for another year, retroactive to October 8, 2018 through October 7, 2019

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The Office of Emergency Services and the Department of Emergency Communications are requesting an amendment to the Everbridge contract, extending it for an additional year to maintain and upgrade subscriptions to emergency and non-emergency notification systems. The proposed extension includes updated services, which will be upgraded at no additional cost; upgrades include form driven templates, enhanced conference call management capabilities, and premium call back notifications.
The existing Agreement term expires on October 7, 2018. The MCECC Operations and Executive Boards recommended this extension of the contract, including additional, upgraded features, on behalf of the local public agencies participating in the use of the Center at its September 10, 2018 meeting. The amendment modifies the contract by increasing the Agreement amount to reflect the cost of the additional year of October 8, 2018 through October 7, 2019, and to specify the upgrades to be provided to the County.
