It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
Approve and authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer or Contracts/Purchasing Supervisor to execute Amendment No. 2 to the Netsmart Technologies, Inc. Agreement A-13376 for implementation of the Electronic Health Records system for Professional/Technical Consulting Services to Monterey County Health Department/Behavioral Health Bureau for Fiscal Years (FYs) 2018-19 through FY 2019-20 in the amount of $170,318, for a total Agreement amount not to exceed $2,811,460 for July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2020.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Netsmart Technologies, Inc. (Netsmart) was selected as the Electronic Health Record (EHR) vendor for Monterey County Health Department, Behavioral Health for the Avatar Solution as a result of a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) process in 2008.
Approval of this Amendment No. 2 will update and reconcile the License count for the Avatar/ EHR Licensed Subscription for additional licenses for an increased amount of $49,697 and add $120,621 to the Professional and Technology Consulting Reserve for a total reserve in the amount of $250,303. Available reserve will be used on an as-approved basis to address program needs and to avoid delays in accessing professional/technical support services consisting of Avatar Licensed Software Maintenance and Support, Licensed Subscriptions, and Hosting Services.
