RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
Approve and authorize the Director of Information Technology Department to execute Amendment No. 3 to the Agreement with D & S Communications, Inc., adding $34,786.59 for support of the InGate SIParator feature of the County's telephone system and for additional travel and professional services, for a new agreement total not to exceed $1,550,417.68.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The Information Technology Department (ITD) is responsible for support and maintenance of the telephone system relied upon by all county employees. The existing Agreement with D & S Communications Inc. (D & S) provides the County with high-level, specialized expertise, not otherwise available in-house, that is needed to resolve technical telephone system issues.
I.T.D. recommends that the Board approve Amendment No 3 to the D & S Agreement to provide $4,786.59 for maintenance and support of the InGate SIParator feature of the County's telephone system; this feature provides secure and reliable communications between County and AT&T networks for telephone service. Maintenance and support of this feature is not currently included in the Scope of Work and must be added to provide technical support and software upgrades necessary for reliable and secure operations of this feature.
Amendment No. 3 also provides an additional $10,000 for travel and an additional $20,000 for professional services. This additional amount is necessary to increase amounts and services set forth in original scope of services, so that the County may continue to receive technical support and consu...
