On October 18, 2016, Monterey County accepted and approved the Medi-Cal Capacity Grant Agreement A-13334, Grant Number 0616-MCHD-BH-CP ("Agreement") for an award not to exceed $150,000 from the Central California Alliance for Health (CCAH). The grant funds capital planning activities for a Behavioral Health clinic to be located at 331 North Sanborn Road in East Salinas.

On April 10, 2018 the Board approved Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement, extending the grant term from eighteen (18) months to twenty-six (26) months ending December 31, 2018. CCAH has offered the County a second grant timeline extension ending June 28, 2019. The Health Department recommends approval of Amendment No. 2 to allow more time for additional capital planning services to be completed and therefore paid from these grant funds.
