Title: a. Approve and authorize the Chief Probation Officer to sign the Agreement with Turning Point of Central California, Incorporated in the amount not to exceed $321,683, to provide employment training and job placement services for adult offenders under AB 109 Public Safety Realignment plan for the term from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020; and b. RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve and authorize the Chief Probation Officer to sign the Agreement with Turning Point of Central California, Incorporated in the amount not to exceed $321,683, to provide employment training and job placement services for adult offenders under AB 109 Public Safety Realignment plan for the term from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020; and
b. Authorize the Chief Probation Officer to sign up to three (3) future amendments to the Agreement where the amendment does not exceed ten percent (10%) of the original contract amount ($32,168) and does not significantly change the scope of work.

SUMMARY:
AB 109 Public Safety Realignment allocates funding to counties for mandates related to adult offenders that have been realigned from the State to local jurisdictions. The Probation Department serves as lead agency and fiscal agent for the implementation of the AB 109 Public Safety Realignment plan. Funding is allocated for custody, supervision and treatment services. Turning Point of Central California, Incorporated continues to provide employment training and job placement services for adult offenders.
