RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
Approve and authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer to execute Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement with Action Council of Monterey County, Inc. to extend the term for one (1) additional Fiscal Year (FY) for a new term of July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2021, and revise the total Agreement amount from $99,935 to $413,580, which represents a total increase of $313,645 through FY 2020-21.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The Innovation component of the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) provides a dedicated funding source to counties to try out new and creative mental health practices or approaches that are developed within communities that are inclusive and representative of unserved and underserved populations. This proposed Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement with Action Council of Monterey County, Inc. will allow for continued system improvement initiatives and MHSA program implementation support through June 30, 2021.
The Contractor's scope of work includes the administration of contracts and the processing of payments to subcontractors who have been selected to implement a project funded by the State-approved Micro-Innovation Grants for Increasing Latino Engagement Innovation Plan, provide training and other professional services. Action Council of Monterey County, Inc. may directly provide the trainings in lieu of a subcontractor.
