Title
a. Consider approval of the assignment of members of the Board of Supervisors and County staff to serve on boards, committees, and commissions for calendar year 2020; and
b. Consider approval of the dissolution of the Election Campaign Financing Ad Hoc Committee.
Report
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Consider approval of the assignment of members of the Board of Supervisors and County staff to serve on boards, committees, and commissions for calendar year 2020; and
b. Consider approval of the dissolution of the Election Campaign Financing Ad Hoc Committee.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION
Members of the Board of Supervisors and County staff are assigned to serve on various standing or ad hoc committees of the Board, agencies, joint power authorities, and a variety of other groups. The appointments are typically approved at the first Board meeting of the calendar year and are valid for the remainder of the calendar year unless modified by subsequent action of the Board. This report seeks approval of those appointments for calendar year 2020, and approval of the dissolution of the Board's Election Campaign Financing Ad Hoc Committee.

It is proposed that the appointments for calendar year 2019 remain in place for calendar year 2020 with the following exceptions:
1. The Election Campaign Financing Ad Hoc Committee will be dissolved.
2. The staff assignment to the Monterey Bay Community Power - Policy Board will be changed to Charles McKee, with Nick Chiulos continuing as alternate.

The proposed appointments for calendar year 2020, including the above changes, is included for the Board's consideration in Exhibit A.

OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT
This report has been coordinated with the District 3 Member of the Board of Supervisors.

FINANCING
