RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
Approve and authorize the Director of Health or Assistant Director of Health to execute a renewal Amendment No. 1 to the Master License Agreement A-14190 with Ovid Technologies, Inc. to provide an Internet-based subscription product of Medical Psychiatry Journals, extending the term to April 15, 2021 for an increased amount of $8,858, for a new total Agreement amount not to exceed $17,188 for the term of January 1, 2019 to April 15, 2021.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Ovid Technologies, Inc. ("Ovid") provides an annual licensed web-based subscription of Medical Psychiatry Journals to Monterey County Health Department Behavioral Health Bureau ("MCBH"). This renewal Amendment extends the Master License Agreement A-14190 ("Agreement") with Ovid, which expired on December 31, 2019.
Ovid issues a new subscription Quote/Order ("Order") for each annual Medical Psychiatry Journal subscription renewal and accordingly the County has created a new Agreement for each of the past two (2) calendar years. Approval of this recommended Renewal & Amendment No. 1 will extend the Agreement for an additional fifteen (15) and a-half (1/2) months to allow time for the Board process, signature of Quote, and startup of a twelve (12) month subscription.
