It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors adopt a resolution to:

Approve the proposed amendment to the Department of Social Services' Conflict of Interest Code as the code reviewing body.

Pursuant to sections 82011 and 87303 of the Government Code, the Board of Supervisors is the code reviewing body. It may approve the Code as submitted; revise the proposed Code and approve as revised; or return the proposed Code to the agency for revision and resubmission. Staff recommends that the Board of Supervisors approve the proposed amended Conflict of Interest Code of the Monterey County Department of Social Services.

OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
County Counsel has reviewed and approved the proposed amended Conflict of Interest Code of the Monterey County Department of Social Services. The proposed, amended Conflict of Interest Code is lawful under the Political Reform Act of 1974.
