Title: a. RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Ratify the execution by the Purchasing Officer of an agreement with Dr. Brandi Liles signed on January 27, 2021 for the provision of trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy training in the amount of $6,150 for the period February 1, 2020 through June 30, 2020 with nonstandard liability provisions; and
b. Authorize the Director of the Department of Social Services to sign up to three (3) amendments to this agreement where the amendments do not exceed 10% ($615) of the total agreement amount and do not significantly change the scope of work.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The Sally P. Archer Child Advocacy Center (CAC) and Bates-Eldredge Child Sexual Abuse Clinic for Monterey County perform medical-legal examinations to evaluate cases of suspected or actual child abuse/sexual exploitation to provide documented evidence to assist in the prosecution of criminal cases. Monterey County's CAC has become accredited by the National Children's Alliance (NCA). As part of the accreditation requirements, mental health providers must receive at least 40 hours of training on approved Evidence Based Practices such as Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
