RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors receive the report from the Sheriff’s Office and provide direction to the County Administrative Office regarding the Sheriff’s Office Requested Budget for Fiscal Year 2021-22 that includes budget augmentations.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
This report is being presented in response to board comments during the budget workshop on April 6, 2021. The purpose of the report is to provide detailed information about the mandated functions of the Sheriff’s Office along with details of the augmentation requests that are needed to avoid service cuts to the public.

FINANCING:
The Sheriff’s Office is asking a budget augmentation for FY 2021-22 amounting to $12,292,551 and seeking the Board direction on the financing of this augmentation request.
