Title: a. RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve and authorize the Agricultural Commissioner to execute, on behalf of the County of Monterey, an Agreement with The Regents of the University of California to perform work
retroactively under the Statewide Integrated Pest Management Program (UC IPM) for a period
from April 1, 2021 through March 31, 2022 in the amount of $10,763.00; and
b. Authorize the Agricultural Commissioner, or Commissioner's designee, to sign up to three (3) Amendments to the Agreement where the Amendment does not significantly change the scope of work.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) routinely contracts with the Monterey County Agricultural Commissioner (MCAC) to provide specific services. The Regents of the University of California is participating on behalf of CDFA. The agreement enhances pest management and abatement in Monterey County.
The Agricultural Commissioner requests authorization to enter into the proposed Agreement (Attachment 1).

OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
The Office of the County Counsel-Risk Manager has approved the proposed Agreement as to form.

FINANCING:
Sufficient revenues and appropriations are available in the FY 2020-21 Recommended Budget.
