SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:

On April 20, 2021, the Board of Supervisors introduced, waived reading, and set for adoption on April 27, 2021, the Hospitality Worker Right to Recall ordinance.  The ordinance created a private right of action, applicable in the unincorporated area of Monterey County, to enforce the provisions of SB 93, which added Labor Code section 2810.8 relating to a worker right to recall applicable statewide.  Unfortunately, publication of the summary did not occur in a timely manner, and adoption of the ordinance was continued to May 4, 2021.
