RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
Approve and authorize the Director of Health or Assistant Director of Health to execute Amendment No. 3 to Mental Health Services Agreement A-13855 with JDT Consultants, Inc. for the provision of Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) and Home Alternatives to Residential Treatment (HART) to extend the term for one (1) additional fiscal year for a revised term of July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2022 and add $1,340,000 for Fiscal Year (FY) 2021-22, for a revised total amount not to exceed $5,321,884.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
JDT Consultants, Inc. provides Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) to Monterey County Medi-Cal eligible children who meet criteria for medical necessity and Home Alternatives to Residential Treatment (HART) to Monterey County children who are receiving Special Education services through their Individual Education Plan (IEP) and have been identified by their IEP teams as being at imminent risk of residential treatment. TBS is an intensive one-to-one, face-to-face, short term outpatient treatment intervention for beneficiaries under age 21 with serious emotional disturbances who are experiencing stressful transition or life crisis and may be at risk of psychiatric hospitalization.
