RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
Approve and authorize the Director of Health or Assistant Director of Health to execute Amendment No. 2 to Mental Health Services Agreement A-13950 with Discovery Practice Management, Inc. dba Center for Discovery to extend the term for one (1) additional fiscal year for a revised term of July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2022 and add additional services for a revised total Agreement amount not to exceed $730,960.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Discovery Practice Management, Inc. dba Center for Discovery "Center for Discovery" is a private for-profit corporation licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health as a Congregate Living Health Facility and is accredited and Certified by the Joint Commission. The Center for Discovery provides specialized, personalized outpatient program and residential treatment center services for teens and adolescents, both male and female ages 10-19 with eating disorders as a primary diagnosis. Center for Discovery provides tailored services and therapies for a variety of eating disorder deficits including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, and Binge Eating Disorder, in variety of adaptive functioning areas, which assist the patient with impulsive and coping behaviors. The Commercial General Liability is on claims basis and not occurrence basis.
