RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
Approve and authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer or Contracts/Purchasing Supervisor to execute Amendment No.5 between the County of Monterey, and Salinas Valley Collision Repair, for an increased cost of $56,556.46 for services provided for a (3) three-month period, July 1, 2020 to September 30, 2020 resulting in a revised total contract amount not to exceed $1,286,556.46.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
On June 10, 2013, the County of Monterey, entered into an agreement with Salinas Valley Collision Repair to provide auto body repair services for Monterey County Fleet Management to service County of Monterey vehicles, for a term of six (6) years for the period of June 10, 2013 to July 1, 2019. The parties renewed and amended the original agreement multiple times and most recently, extended the term to continue services in order to allow enough time to complete the Request for Quotes (RFQ) #10751 for future auto body services. Salinas Valley Collision Repair was selected to provide auto body services and the new Master Agreement became effective on October 1, 2020.

During the period of July 1, 2020 to September 30, 2020, Salinas Valley Collision Repair continued to provide services to Fleet under Renewal and Amendment No.3 to cover the time period immediately preceding execution of the new Master Agreement. However, when Fleet prepared Renewal and Amendment No.3, it failed to specify the amount of funds needed for those services.
