RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
Approve and authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer or his designee to sign a Renewal and Amendment No. 2 with CaptureRX for 340B pharmacy claims identification and reporting services, extending the agreement for an additional six (6) months, for a revised full term of December 1, 2019 through June 30, 2022, with no change to the total contract amount of $97,800.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The Health Department Clinic Services Bureau (Clinic Services) operates ten community clinic sites designated as Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) which provide preventive, primary, and specialty medical care services which are all mandated by Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to provide primary health services to all patients regardless of ability to pay.

CaptureRX is a technology company providing 340B pharmacy claims identification and reporting services for 340B-eligible healthcare entities to maximize 340B savings from eligible Medicaid pharmacy claims. Managed Care Medicaid claims have transitioned to the State of California effective January 1, 2022, however, due to the retrospective nature of the claims reporting process, Clinic Services and CaptureRX must continue their reporting arrangement in 2022 until all remaining activity from claims through December 31, 2021, has been completed. Approval of this Renewal and Amendment No. 2 will allow for continued processing of any remaining claims reporting and payments through June 30, 2022.
