RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended the Board of Supervisors:

a. Authorize the Chief Executive Officer for Natividad Medical Center (NMC) or his designee to execute an agreement with the National Association of Children's Hospitals and Related Institutions, Inc. for pediatric learning and development services at NMC for an amount not to exceed $11,800 with an agreement term retroactive from July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023.
b. Approve the NMC Chief Executive Officer's recommendation to accept non-standard limitations on liability and limitations on damages provisions within the agreement.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:

Pediatric Learning Solutions provides online courseware targeted to the competencies and skills clinicians need to deliver safe and effective care to the pediatric patients. Staff in the NICU, Pediatrics and Emergency Department will use these interactive courses, which include patient scenarios and job aids to promote effective transition to practice. This education program releases your educators from researching and creating content, giving them time at the bedside with learners providing application of evidence-based principles.

OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
