RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Receive a report on the 2022 Human Resources Department Surveys
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The Human Resources Department presented to the Board of Supervisors Human Resources Committee a report on the 2022 surveys conducted from March to May. It was recommended by the Committee to present feedback from the three surveys, which include: “Intent to Stay”, New Hire/Onboarding and Former Employees Who Retired and Resigned.
The Human Resources Department collaborated with the Health Department Employee Wellness Program to survey employees on the Employee Wellness Program and on Employee Engagement, which included an “Intent to Stay” component.
The survey results relate to respondents’ motivation to join, maintain employment with and separate from the County. Solutions that address survey feedback and support employee recruitment, engagement and retention are also included.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
The Board of Supervisors Human Resources Committee recommended the feedback from the surveys be presented to the full Board.
FINANCING:
There is no financial impact in receiving this report.
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS STRATEGIC INITIATIVES:
The proposed recommended actions address the Board of Supervisors Administration Strategic Initiative. The actions demonstrate the County’s commitment to meeting the Board’s initiatives in recruiting, retaining, and attracting a diverse, talented workforce that supports the mission of Monterey County.
