RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors of the Monterey County:
Authorize the Contracts & Purchasing Officer or their designee to approve Amendment No. 1 to Agreement No. A-14550 with K&H Printers-Lithographers, Inc., to continue providing ballot and voter information guide printing and mailing services in an amount not to exceed $9,600,000 and to extend the term through September 30, 2025.

SUMMARY:
Approval of the recommended actions will enable the Department to print and mail ballot and voter information guides to over 212,000 Monterey County voters to conduct elections in compliance with state and federal election laws.
As part of the election process, the Department will closely monitor that the services provided meet County requirements outlined in the scope of work of Agreement No. A-14550 which includes: ballot and voter information guide proofs, design layouts, assembly of vote by mail and voter information guide packets, timely delivery dates and contingencies outlined within the Agreement.
The approval of Amendment No.1 will allow the continuation of ballot and voter information guide printing and mailing services for a term of October 1, 2023, through September 30, 2025, for a total amount not to exceed $9,600,000.
Copies of the Agreement are on file with the Clerk of the Board.

OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
The requested Amendment No. 1 has been reviewed and approved by County Counsel as to form.

FINANCING:
Funding for this agreement is available in Elections FY 2023-24 Budget. There is no reason to anticipate additional cost to the County General Fund with this recommendation for this f...
