a. Approve and authorize the Director or Assistant Director of the Department of Social Services to sign Amendment #1 to Agreement #5010-219 with Community Human Services adding $60,000 for a new contract total of $120,000 extending the term by two (2) years, for a new term of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2026, and;
b. Authorize the Director or Assistant Director of the Department of Social Services to sign up to (3) future amendments to this amended agreement where the total amendments do not exceed 10% ($12,000) of the amended contract amount, do not significantly change the scope of work, and do not exceed the maximum aggregate amount of $132,000.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve and authorize the Director or Assistant Director of the Department of Social Services to sign Amendment #1 to Agreement #5010-219 with Community Human Services adding $60,000 for a new contract total of $120,000 extending the term by two (2) years, for a new term of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2026, and;

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Amendment #1 adds $60,000 of Homeless Housing, Assistance, and Prevention funds to the agreement with Community Human Services to extend support for service operations another two years. This amendment provides $30,000 for FY 2024-2025 and $30,000 for FY 2025-2026 for a new total contract amount of $120,000. The agreement provides funding support towards the cost of operating a year-round shelter for homeless youth.
