RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Budget Committee receive a report on the Governor’s Fiscal Year 2020-21 May Revised State Budget.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The Governor released his May 2020 Revised FY 2020-21 budget on May 14, 2020. The County Administrative Office has reviewed the Governor’s Budget Summary, the Legislative Analyst’s Office Overview of the Governor’s Budget, and the California State Association of Counties (CSAC) Budget Action Bulletin for statewide perspectives. In addition, departments provided preliminary impact statements. This information has been compiled into a consolidated overview attached for your review. Also attached is a copy of the CSAC budget bulletin.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
This report incorporates preliminary budget impact statements provided by County departments and information provided by the California State Association of Counties, Department of Finance, and Legislative Analyst’s Office.
FINANCING:
Acceptance of this report has no direct impact on the County budget.
