It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Monterey County Health Department is a sub-awardee of Community Foundation for Monterey County and is responsible for acting as the lead agency in providing support to and assisting in the facilitation of the Girls' Health in Girls' Hands Initiative to not only ensure access for girls to receive more comprehensive and integrated health information, but also to develop powerful leadership skills among girls in Monterey County to help influence positive changes at their schools and in their communities.
