RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Monterey County Water Resources Agency Board of Directors:
Approve and recommend that the Monterey County Water Resources Agency Board of Supervisors approve the execution of an Agreement for Taxing Entity Ccompensation with the City of Soledad pursuant to Health and Safety code section 34180(f); and conveyance of real property in the former redevelopment plan area to the City of Soledad from the successor Agency to the former Soledad Redevelopment Agency.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
On June 7th, 2016 Mark Hartunian of the City of Soledad provided an oral presentation to the Board of Directors requesting approval of a Master compensation aAgreement for Taxing Entity Compensation with the City of Soledad pursuant to Health and Safety code section 34180(f), which also called for the; and conveyance of real property in the former redevelopment plan area to the City of Soledad from the successor Agency to the former Soledad Redevelopment Agency.
Upon review of the Master Aagreement by Agency County Counsel, the following changes were made to the agreement, which and they have been approved (with further revisions) by the City of Soledad attorneys:
* Elimination of sale price deductions (from the Agency's share) for marketing, consultants, and other unspecified fees consultants, and "other" expert fees;
* Inserted conditions for post-sale City Accounting by the City to the County Auditor and for reserved the right for the County Auditor's right to audit the sale;
