RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
Approve and authorize the Director of Health or Assistant Director of Health to execute a no-extension Amendment No. 2 to Alcohol and/or Drug Service Agreement A-12786 with
Sun Street Centers for the provision of alcohol and drug recovery services in the increased amount of $382,802 for Fiscal Year (FY) 2016-17, and $269,272 for FY 2017-18, for a revised total Agreement amount not to exceed $5,133,841 for the term July 1, 2015 - June 30, 2018.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Sun Street Centers provides residential and outpatient alcohol and drug recovery services for Non Medi-Cal, AB 109, and CalWORKS eligible Monterey County residents. This Amendment No. 2 will add Drug Medi-Cal (DMC) funds for outpatient services for FYs 2016-18 and Intensive Outpatient Treatment for FY 2016-17 to the serve Drug Medi-Cal eligible population, and revises the FYs 2016-18 drug treatment rates to reflect FY 2016-17 Drug Medi-Cal rates published by the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS).

This Agreement contains the County's standard 30 day termination provision (Section 5) and a defunding provision (Section 6), which provides the County the ability to amend or terminate the Agreement in the event of a reduction and/or termination of funding.
