Title: a. RECOMMENDATION:
a. Authorize the Contract/Purchasing Officer to sign a four-year Agreement in the amount of $510,335 with First 5 Monterey County to support the Probation Department's Child Advocate Program retroactive to July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2021; and
b. Authorize the Contract/Purchasing Officer to sign up to three (3) future amendments to this Agreement where the amendments do not exceed ten percent (10%) of the original contract amount, $51,033, and do not significantly change the scope of work.

SUMMARY:
Probation has been a recipient of First 5 Monterey County funding since 2003, providing valuable services to children age 0 to five who have been exposed to domestic violence.

As a partner of the Monterey County Screening Team for Assessment, Referral, and Treatment (MCSTART) Interagency Service Collaborative, Probation has been allocated grant funding to support the Child Advocate Program for four years, from July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2021. The proposed Agreement identified roles and responsibilities, and level of services during the grant award period.

DISCUSSION:
The Monterey County Screening Team for Assessment, Referral, and Treatment (MCSTART) Interagency Service Collaborative has a strong partnership with local agencies and organizations serving children from prenatal to five years old.
