Title: a. RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve and authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer or Contracts/Purchasing Supervisor to sign a Standard Agreement with BSK Associates not to exceed the amount of $500,000 for the provision of Environmental Laboratory Testing & Analysis services for the period retroactive from July 1, 2019 through August 31, 2022; and
b. Authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer or Contracts/Purchasing Supervisor to approve three (3) future amendments that do not exceed (10%) ($50,000) of the original Agreement and do not significantly alter the scope of services.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The Monterey County Health Department's Public Health Laboratory (PH Lab) serves as the area's Regional Laboratory, and has provided the necessary water testing for a variety of agencies such as, the City of Salinas, City of Gonzales, Salinas Valley Correctional Training Facility, California Water Company, Resource Management Agency, Water Resource Agency and over 100 community water systems. Due to the volume of testing required, PH Lab coordinates testing with other cost-effective laboratories, including BSK Analytical Laboratories (BSK), and ships the samples for the client as a value-added service.
