RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors Adopt a resolution approving the Monterey County Office of Emergency Services' Annex M - Electrical Power Disruption Plan and Annex Z - Winter Storm Response Plan Vol.1 Main Report, Vol.2 Map Atlas of the Monterey County Operational Area Emergency Operations Plan.
SUMMARY:
The Annex M: Electrical Power Disruption Plan, is a newly developed plan serving as a guidance document for the purpose of addressing the planned response to extraordinary emergency events or disasters as a result of intentional and unintentional disruption of the electric system within the Monterey County Operational Area. Annex M: Electrical Power Disruption Plan was approved for adoption by the Monterey County Operational Area Disaster Council on October 30, 2019.
The Annex Z- Winter Storm Response Plan was the first iteration of the Winter Storm Response Plan which began January 27, 2009; the Winter Storm Response Plan was subsequently updated in November 2011. The current Annex Z - Winter Storm Response Plan Vol.1 Main Report, Vol.2 Map Atlas was approved for adoption by the Monterey County Operational Area Disaster Council on October 30, 2019. The Winter Storm Response Plan outlines Monterey County's planned response to flood emergencies in or affecting Monterey County.
