a. Authorize the Chief Executive Officer for Natividad execute the First Amendment to the Professional and Call Coverage Services Agreement (A-14723) with Monterey Bay GI Consultants to provide gastroenterology services, extending the term by twenty-four months (July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2024) for a revised full agreement term of July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2022, and adding $400,000 for a revised not to exceed amount of $800,000 in the aggregate; and
b. Authorize the Chief Executive Office for Natividad to sign up to three (3) amendments to this agreement where the total amendments do not exceed 10% ($40,000) of the original contract amount and do not significantly change the scope of work.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Authorize the Chief Executive Officer for Natividad execute the First Amendment to the Professional and Call Coverage Services Agreement (A-14723) with Monterey Bay GI Consultants to provide gastroenterology services, extending the term by twenty-four months (July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2024) for a revised full agreement term of July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2022, and adding $400,000 for a revised not to exceed amount of $800,000 in the aggregate; and

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Natividad must arrange for care and treatment of patients who present to the emergency department and hospitalized patients in need of medical care in the specialty of gastroenterology. Natividad wishes to amend this Agreement with Monterey Bay GI Consultants so that its board certified gastroenterologists can continue to provide gastroenterology call coverage in the emergency department along with other panel members to ensure sufficient coverage of the service twenty-four hours per day, seven da...
