RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the County of Monterey Board of Supervisors:
Approve and authorize the Director of Health or Assistant Director of Health to execute Renewal and Amendment No. 6 to Mental Health Services Agreement A-12775 with Felton Institute for the provision of prevention and recovery in early psychosis services, extending the term for one additional year, effective retroactive to July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2023, for a revised new term of July 1, 2015, through June 30, 2023, and adding $878,788 for FY 2022-23 for a total Agreement amount not to exceed $4,898,603.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Felton Institute, formerly Family Service Agency of San Francisco dba Felton Institute, is a non-profit agency providing the (re)MIND program for the provision of prevention and recovery in early psychosis services within the County of Monterey. The (re)MIND program is an evidence-based treatment that identifies psychosis at the earliest possible point to reduce the impact of psychosis on the individual and their family. (Re)MIND has shown to have dramatic improvement reducing crises, avoiding hospitalizations, improving functional capacity, promoting school/workforce participation, and engaging youth and families.
