Title: a. RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve and authorize the Contracts / Purchasing Officer or his designee to sign the UPS Systems Group Maintenance Contract between the County of Monterey and Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, INC for a retroactive term of November 21, 2019 through November 20, 2022 for ensured power supply maintenance services for the Emergency Communications Department, in a total amount not to exceed amount of $17,955 plus tax as applicable.
b. Approve the non-standard terms and conditions contained in the vendor's contract pursuant to the recommendation of the Director of Emergency Communications Department.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, INC provides maintenance for the back-up battery power equipment that is designed to allow the Emergency Communications Dispatch Center to remain operational in the event of a commercial power outage of regular service, which serves as a gap in service prior to the initiation of generator power.
The Board of Supervisors approved the existing contract with Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, INC which was established November 2017 and the last renewal option expired November 6, 2019. Emergency Communications is requesting approval of a new contract, to continue the existing preventative maintenance services, for a term of three years. ...
