RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve and authorize the Director of Health, the Assistant Director of Health, or the
Emergency Medical Services Agency Director to execute Amendment No. 2 to the Agreement with ESO Solutions, Inc. for the provision of a countywide Unified Electronic Patient Care Reporting (ePCR) Solution to extend the Agreement term to March 30, 2024 and to increase the total Agreement amount for an amount not to exceed $703,146.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The Director of Health seeks authorization to execute Amendment No. 2 to the Agreement between the County of Monterey and ESO Solutions, Inc. for the provision of a countywide unified Electronic Patient Care Reporting (ePCR) Solution to extend the term of the Agreement for 2 years to March 31, 2024 and to increase the amount payable to Contractor for services to be provided during the extension period.

ESO Solutions, Inc. was selected as the ePCR vendor for Monterey County Emergency Medical
Services through a formal Request for Proposal (RFP #10588) process conducted in
2016.

Given that the implementation of a single integrated ePCR system county-wide has been a great improvement for the Monterey County EMS system and to ensure compliance with the requirement of state law, the EMS Agency proposes to continue to use CSA-74 monies to pay for the continuing costs of ESO software, licensing, and database integration with communication centers, hospital systems, and health information exchange for those organizations that are part of the ...
